Small saving schemes Curiosity Fee July-Sep Quarter: The Finance Ministry evaluations the rates of interest on small financial savings schemes each quarter and modifications them. Rates of interest have been revised for the July-September 2023 quarter.
New Delhi: The Central Authorities has elevated the rates of interest of small financial savings schemes by as much as 30 bps for the July-September 2023 quarter. The Middle has elevated the rates of interest of schemes like 1 and a pair of 12 months put up workplace time deposit, 5 12 months recurring deposit out of 12 varieties of financial savings schemes. Whereas, there was no change within the rate of interest on different financial savings schemes together with Sukanya, PPF.
Curiosity Charges on Small Financial savings Schemes
The central authorities evaluations the rates of interest on small financial savings schemes each quarter and modifications them. Issuing a round on 30 June 2023, the Finance Ministry has revised the rates of interest for the July-September quarter. The Finance Ministry has elevated the rates of interest on 3 put up workplace financial savings schemes just for the July quarter.
- For 1 12 months, the rate of interest on Put up Workplace Time Deposit Scheme has been elevated from 6.8 % to six.9 %.
- Rate of interest on 2-year put up workplace time deposit has been elevated from 6.9 per cent to 7 per cent.
- The rate of interest on the 5-year Recurring Deposit Scheme has been elevated from 6.2 per cent to six.5 per cent.

- 3 Yr Time Deposit Scheme – Present Curiosity Fee 7%
- 5 Yr Time Deposit Scheme – Present Curiosity Fee 7.5%
- Senior Citizen Financial savings Scheme – Present rate of interest 8.2 %
- Month-to-month Earnings Account Scheme – Present rate of interest 7.4 %
- Nationwide Financial savings Certificates Scheme – Present rate of interest 7.7 %
- Public Provident Fund Scheme – Present rate of interest 7.1 %
- Kisan Vikas Patra Scheme – Present rate of interest 7.5 %
- Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme – Present rate of interest 8 %
Final time rates of interest had been raised
The federal government had final elevated the rates of interest of small financial savings schemes by as much as 70 bps for the April-June 2023 quarter. In these, the rates of interest of schemes like Senior Citizen Financial savings Scheme, Month-to-month Earnings Financial savings Scheme, Nationwide Financial savings Certificates, Kisan Vikas Patra, all put up workplace mounted deposits and Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme had been elevated.
