
Gulmarg avalanche replace: A large snow avalanche hit Afarwat hills at a well-known ski resort in Gulmarg in Baramulla district on Wednesday, wherein two international nationals have been killed whereas one has been critically injured.
“Avalanche hit the Afarwat peak Hapath Khud at a well-known ski resort in Gulmarg. 2 international nationals lifeless in an avalanche in Gulmarg. 19 international nationals and a couple of native guides have been rescued efficiently. Rescue workforce on the spot,” SSP Baramulla stated.
3 groups comprising 21 International nationals and a couple of native guides went to Affarwat Gulmarg for snowboarding at the moment. At round 12:30 pm a large avalanche hit Hapatkhud Kangdori the place these snowboarding groups received trapped.
On receiving the data Baramulla police mobilized joint rescue groups of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the tourism division.
Rescue operations are underway to search out the remaining individuals. “Reviews of some skiers being trapped are being corroborated,” Gulmarg Police stated.
